Bill Aujla

PRESIDENT & CEO

Bill Aujla, a seasoned Vancouver lawyer and real-estate executive, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Surrey City Development Corporation. Bill brings extensive public- and private-sector experience in law, real estate, strategic partnerships, and projects and contract management to the role. During his career, Bill has held numerous senior leadership roles. He has served for the City of Vancouver as an internal Solicitor, General Manager of Real Estate and Facilities, and Project Manager for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Village.  He also served as Vice-President of Real Estate for a private investment company. Bill has led several transformative initiatives during his career, including the structuring of strategic partnerships for major development projects, completion of the Southeast False Creek and Olympic Village development, and the acquisition of the Arbutus Corridor from CP Rail.

Amanda Zizek

CPA, CGA

VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE & OPERATIONS

Amanda is the Vice President of Finance and Operations at SCDC, bringing over 15 years of progressive experience in finance, operations, and real estate development. She began her career in 2010 at a leading global professional services firm and joined SCDC from 2013 to 2020 where she grew with the company and held various roles in accounting & finance. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at a privately held real estate development and property management firm, where she oversaw financial management, leasing, property management, and corporate operations. In her current role at SCDC, Amanda leads finance and corporate operations and works closely with the President & CEO to ensure that strategic initiatives support the organization’s mission and long-term vision.

Amber Osadan-Ullman

MCIP, RPP

DIRECTOR REAL ESTATE & DEVELOPMENT

Amber is the Director of Real Estate and Development, bringing 15 years of experience delivering transformative mixed-use, civic, and transit-oriented projects across Western Canada.

Throughout her career, Amber has built a reputation for strategic rigor and inclusive leadership, spearheading high-impact urban projects including large-scale civic infrastructure and multi-parcel redevelopments. Her decade shaping urban real estate portfolios in Calgary, a rapidly evolving market, included a pivotal role in creating and delivering Calgary’s Culture and Entertainment district.

Beyond her professional role, Amber actively contributes to her community as Chair of the Vancouver City Planning Commission, guiding long-term urban development. She also mentors future planners with the Canadian Institute of Planners and supported students in the fields of land use planning, architecture, and business at the University of Calgary, now extending her guidance to students at the University of British Columbia through guest lectures, panel discussions, and one-on-one support. Her leadership reflects a deep commitment to inclusive, sustainable, and forward-looking growth, bringing a West Coast sensibility grounded in environment, community, and the power of real estate for positive impact.

Lauren Venton

EA, OFFICE MANAGER & BOARD LIAISON

Lauren is the Executive Assistant, Office Manager and Board Liaison, bringing over 15 years of Administrative and Financial experience to support the SCDC team.

Lauren’s experience has evolved through multiple industries, including Social Housing, Construction Management and Engineering Consulting. In her role at SCDC, she will work closely with the President and Board of Directors to further the organization’s vision and mandate.

Outside of work, Lauren is an avid gardener and volunteers at a North Surrey Community Garden. She believes that vibrant outdoor spaces bind a community together and plans to bring that enthusiasm to her work with SCDC.
